Day 1 – Washington D.C.
Explore America’s heritage and history on this in-depth tour of the capital city of the United States, Washington, D.C.

Day 2 – Washington D.C.
This morning, enjoy a city tour and see the world-famous sites of Washington, D.C. including the Capitol building, the White House, and many of the city’s renowned monuments. During a visit to the White House Visitor Center, learn about the many transitions this historic residence has undergone. This afternoon uncover some of the treasures of the Smithsonian with your choice of a visit to the famed Air and Space Museum or the National Museum of American History. Tonight, enjoy a farewell dinner and share your favorite moments with your family and new friends. (B, D)

Day 3 –Mount Vernon/ Washington D.C.
Journey to Mount Vernon, George Washington’s beloved home. Your guide, a character from Washington’s day, leads you through his daily activities and shares his stories with you. Learn about everyday life at Mt. Vernon and the interesting history of George and Martha Washington. Then, travel to Washington, D.C, the nation’s capital, where your choice of adventure awaits. Your family may choose to visit the famed Spy Museum this afternoon where you can test your spy skills on an interactive visit. Or, you can choose to explore another American treasure, the National Zoo. Meet the giant pandas, experience the Bird House’s indoor flight room or explore some of the other exhibits on the zoo’s 163 acres. (B)

Day 4 – Washington D.C.
This morning you’ll uncover some of the treasures of the Smithsonian Institution with a visit to your choice of either the famed Air and Space Museum or the National Museum of American History. Located on the National Mall, the Air and Space Museum’s collection includes the famous Wright 1903 Flyer, the Spirit of St. Louis, and the Apollo 11 command module Columbia. The National Museum of American History features exhibits such as historic locomotives, the flag that inspired Francis Scott Key to compose the national anthem, and the First Ladies Hall, which contains many ball gowns worn by America's First Ladies. This afternoon, embark on a culinary discovery of Washington, D.C. as you explore the historic Eastern Market which has been in operation for over 200 years. Discover why this has been the anchor of the Capitol Hill neighborhood as you peruse the unique specialties at the booths of local cheese artisans, bakeries and more! Then, enjoy dinner at a locally acclaimed family-owned restaurant. (B, D)

Day 5 – Washington D.C.
Today’s adventure begins at the National Zoo. Explore this Smithsonian treasure and view the various species that call the National Zoo home including giant pandas, big cats, sea lions and more. Enjoy time to wander the 163 acres of this national landmark.The afternoon is at leisure for you to continue exploring this great city independently. (B)

Day 6 – Washington, D.C.
Your day begins with a venture into the world of subterfuge and espionage as you test your spy skills at the famed International Spy Museum. On this interactive visit you will discover the vast collection of historical artifacts retained from true stories of covert operations around the world. Later, join your fellow travelers for a special farewell dinner commemorating the end of a wonderful journey. After dinner, experience a different side of the city during a ghost tour! Explore Lafayette Park which has been the site of so many historic duels, crimes and conspiracies that it has become known as “Tragedy Square .” At this reportedly haunted site, hear the gripping tales of paranormal activity and ghost sightings that are local legends. Day 7 – Washington, D.C.
