  4. Sightseeing per itinerary

Day 1 – Embark Ketchikan
Arrive in Ketchikan and transfer to your waiting ship. As you depart you cruise through the Tongass Narrows, which divide Revillagigedo Island (where Ketchikan is located) from Prince of Wales Island.

Day 2 – El Capitan Passage and Devilfish Bay
Awake to breathtaking views in the Tongass Forest, the nation's largest national forest! Take a "wild" Alaska trek winding through high forest on an old logging trail, find your way to ElCapitan Cave, the largest known cave in Alaska and one of the largest mapped caves in the Americas. And if the stars are right (okay...maybe it's the tides), you may get lucky today and snag some organic oysters from a local grower.

Day 3 – Klawock
Today you will gain a better understanding about the importance of carving in Alaskan culture. You will visit twenty-one restored totem poles and hear the stories they tell. You will visit the carvers' shed where the art of carving and restoring totems is passed on to the local youth. In the afternoon, you may choose to kayak. End the day with a high quality draft beer in the lounge or indulge in a luxurious massage.

Day 4 - Chatham Strait Exploration
It's Captain's choice today as you explore the intricate passages and shores along Chatham Strait's Kuiu or Baranof Islands. Join your expedition team on (or in!) the water. Conditions permitting , take to the water by kayak, skiff, or snorkel. Snorkeling is optional, but hidden beneath the surface lis a magical array of se life only seen from below. Take a deep breath and go for it!. Today's discoveries will be within some of the most untouched wilderness of the Tongass National Forest.

Day 5 - Frederick Sound
Lush forest, spectacular views, play time, and wildlife - they are all in abundance in Frederick Sound. Keep watch along the coastline for birds, wolves, and black bears. With many secluded coves to choose from, you may slip into the waters of Deep Cove, Patterson or Saginaw Bay, or perhaps another hidden gem to explore by skiff or paddle a kayak. Gear up from snorkeling or guided treks. This evening, toast another day of amazing adventure with a cold microbrew or cocktails.

Day 6 - The Brothers Islands / Stephen's Passage
There'll be plenty of wildlife viewing today. The Brothers, a pair of tiny, rocky islands at the confluence of Stephen's Passage and Frederick Sound, are home to some of Alaska's most abundant wildlife, including a haulout for Stellar sea lions. The area is also the summer feeding ground for the largest concentration of humpback whales in the northern hemisphere. Keep watch for orac, humpbacks, and porpoise.

Day 7 – Endicott Arm & Ford's Terror
You last full day of your cruise, features breath taking glacial views and snow-covered mountains. During the lunch hour, tides permitting, the ship will move up to Ford's Terror, a narrow passage named after a naval crewmember that was stranded in the turbulent tidal water. Back aboard, you will be greeted with cocktails and a cheery camaraderie as you join the Captain in a farewell toast and a wonderful dinner and even better conversations with all the new friends you've made on your journey.

Day 8 – Juneau to Fairbanks
When you wake this morning, be sure to look out the window as you voyage into Juneau. A Bon Voyage breakfast ends the ship's journey. Upon arrival, you are transferred to your hotel in Fairbanks.

Day 9 – Fairbanks
Enjoy a morning at leisure and in the afternoon cruise onboard the Riverboat Discovery.

Day 10 – Denali National Park
